REMEBERANCE DAY SERVICES

 

Hamilton Remembrance Garrison Service and Parade

 

The parade will start on James Street North in front of the John Weir Foote V.C. Armoury, travel south on James Street, east on King Street to Gore Park

Where: Gore Park, 1 Hughson Street S

When: November 10th 10:45 AM-12:00 PM

 

Remembrance Day Service

 

Service will include Scouts and Guides

Where: Burlington East Presbyterian Church, 505 Walkers Line

When: November 10th 10:30 AM-11:30 AM

 

Indoor Remembrance Day Service

 

Please arrive early as there is limited seating in the Museum. Weather permitting the Lancaster and B-25 Mitchell will perform a fly past for the service.

Where: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Road

When: November 11th 10:30AM

 

Sunrise Remembrance Day Service
 

Burl-Oak Naval Veterans will be holding a ceremony at the Naval Ships Memorial Monument in Spencer Smith Park

Where: Spencer Smith Park, 1400 Lakeshore Road

When: November 11th 9:00 AM

 

Remembrance Day Parade

 

The parade will start at Central Public School, travel down Brant Street to Elgin Street to Locust Street to Ontario Street

Where: Starting point Central Public School, 638 Brant Street

When: November 11th 10:15 AM

 

Royal Canadian Legion Ceremony

 

The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a ceremony on the north side of City Hall

Where: Burlington City Hall, 426 Brant Street

When: November 11th 11:00 AM

 

WEEKEND EVENTS

 

37th Annual Holiday House Tours-  Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington
 

This year 3 luxury homes in Burlington and Water down have opened their doors to the Holiday House tours team of designers to bring you Holiday inspiration! There will be a variety of design ideas featured to fit everyone’s style, ranging from traditional to contemporary. The annual tour is used to fundraise for the Junior League of Hamilton- Burlington, an organization designed to develop the potential of women, improving the community and promoting voluntarism.

Tea Festival
 

Tea lovers rejoice! Take advantage of the chilly weekend and immerse yourself in samples of different teas from around the world. Heat Wave Hot Sauce Expo
 

Warm up your taste buds this weekend with the hottest food festival to hit Hamilton…literally. The event will feature big and small batch companies there to sell their products and help educate you on their hot sauces and condiments. There will be lots of food vendors on site as well, selling items that will pair nicely with your new found hot sauce. Grab a beer and head on over to the mainstage and catch one of the extreme eating competitions. There will be every competition from hot wings to the Guinness World Record breaking attempts for eating the hottest pepper.
