Winona Peach Festival
August 23rd – 5-11pm, August 24th 10am -11pm, August 25th 10am-6pm
Winona Park (1328 Barton Street)
The Peach Festival has something for everyone!  Our Arts & Craft section is nestled in our treed area and offers only handmade items, the Midway put on by Robertson Amusements has rides and games for all ages, our Commercial Exhibit area has many vendors with various products for sale, the "Peach of a Car Show" operates on Saturday and Sunday, our free entertainment stage has children's programming at the Fun Factory, while in the evenings we have music to make everyone enjoy themselves.  Last but not least is our Food Court, we have a multitude of foods to satisfy everyone, gluten free, dairy free, many "peach" filled pies, crepes, cobbler and our famous Peach Sundae!  Come and "Make it Your Family Tradition"!  Free admission. No pets allowed in the park during special events.

Burlington Model Railway Public Viewing Session

See operating model railroads in three different scales: N-scale and HO scale inside, G-scale outside on garden railway (weather permitting for G-scale). Admission is FREE, donations will be gratefully accepted.
 
Family Art Workshop
August 25th 1pm-4pm
Oakville Galleries (1306 Laksehore Rd E)
Bring the whole family to Oakville Galleries for a free art workshop inspired by the work of Iris Häussler as seen in Material Tells. Take in a brief tour of the exhibition, then head into our Education Centre where participants will use fabric and other found materials to make collages, stickers and other artworks of their design. A parent or guardian must accompany children for the duration of their visit.  This program is free of charge; no pre-registration required.

Time to celebrate the mightytomato and other nightshade plants like eggplant, bell peppers, and chili peppers – fruits that can stand alone or work well together in zesty sauces and salsas.
Connect with local farmers and producers to enjoy offerings including fruit, vegetables, eggs, artisan breads, baked goods, wine and more.
 
Golden Horseshore Live Steamers Day

Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology National Historic Site (900 Woodward Avenue)
 
Catch a ride on miniature trains and witness the social and mechanical life of Canada's early industrial revolution during a free guided tour of the museum. For all ages.  This is a free event.
